C-BIC, Compare Business Innovation Centre

Compare Business Innovation Centre (C-BIC) is a co-operation between Compare and Karlstad University. It aims to stimulate business development, research and innovation with the regional ICT industry as its starting point.

The project has a focus on test and security and should contribute to enhanced regional knowledge. The project is funded by EU regional funds. The Department of Computer Science contributes with applied research in the areas of security and performance evaluation of communication protocols and with test tool development. Development of research and education within software engineering with a special emphasis on validation, verification, and quality assurance of software as well as development of research within cloud computing are other important activities within the project. Furthermore, the project aims to provide improved possibilities for students to interact with industry during their studies.
