BioEco Valley Summit 2024

The research environment Pro2BE of Karlstad University organizes the first bioeconomy conference that focuses on the innovation ecosystem of a circular forest based economy together with Paper Province, Sting Bioeconomy and Region Värmland.

It is a two day venue held in central Karlstad with views of the river Klarälven and easy access to the conference venue and accommodation.

The program will encompass international and Swedish Keynote speakers on the topics of innovation and research in the forest based economy. Company representatives and academics alike will pitch collaboration project ideas and we will learn about how our regional testbeds are open to investigating the viability of such ideas!

We have keynote speakers from Region Värmland, Sting Bioeconomy, Swedish Forest Industry Federation (Skogsindustrierna), VINNOVA, BioInnovation, University of Toronto and Karlstad University.

Last but not least, the conference is held in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of Paper Province. The evening of the 27th of November will be a celebration of Paper Province coming of age!
