“Reading homework for multilingual pupils”

The project studies how teachers work with reading homework in linguistically heterogeneous classes. It also looks at parental interaction and the role of parents of multilingual pupils in the context of reading homework.
“Listening to the voices of teachers: Multilingualism and inclusive education across borders”
(Pernilla Olsson Project Manager: Andrea Schalley). 2017-2020. The project is conducted within CSL.
The project is a transnational comparative study looking at teachers’ attitudes, understanding and knowledge of multilingualism. In addition, the project also studies underlying factors that may affect teachers’ attitudes, understanding and knowledge. Researchers from 12 countries are involved in the project (Australia, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, the Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Sweden, and the United Kingdom). In Sweden, there is a collaboration between Karlstad University, Stockholm University, Linnaeus University and Dalarna University, as well as teachers in pre-primary and primary education.
“Migration and powerful knowledge”

The project is conducted within the research group ROSE with the aim of developing educational models about migration, focusing especially on pupils in year 4-6.
“Basic literacy education within SFI”
(Birgitta Ljung Egeland) financed by the Swedish Institute of Educational Research
The project is about developing early literacy education within SFI for students with little or no schooling. The project is a collaboration between Karlstad University, Dalarna University, Stockholm University and Umeå University.
