Relationships and everyday interaction
The research group Relationships and Everyday Interaction (REVA) brings together academics with research interests in the sociology of emotions, everyday and personal life. Projects among the members of the group explores topics such as death, transnational relationships, deception and singlehood.

REVA’s primary aims are to promote affiliated academics’ relevant research, as well as to keep participants up to date with state-of-the-art research in our field.
The group offers a welcoming interdisciplinary environment for those interested in any aspects of research into our research field. We welcome inquiries from scholars and organizations and potential PhD students whose research interests align with the interests of the group. The group has a lively research culture with regular seminar series and workshops. We bring researchers from across the departments at Karlstad as well as organise events with international scholars.
