Research
My research is situated at the intersection of social media, political communication, and media systems. It draws on perspectives including hybrid media systems, media and institutional logics, boundary work, digital citizenship, and theories of trust and credibility. I am interested in analysing social media content and the relationships between different types of media actors.
Besides, I also have a broader interest in gender and feminist media studies, particularly questions concerning gender representation and participation in digital environments.
Bio
I am a PhD student in Media and Communication Studies. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and a Master’s degree in Journalism, Media and Globalisation from the Erasmus Mundus Masters' program in Aarhus University and University of Amsterdam. Before beginning my doctoral studies, I worked for around eight years in the media and communication field in Vietnam, including experience in governmental offices, media outlets, and international non-profit organizations. I also taught media and communication at university level in Vietnam.
My current doctoral research examines the role of social media influencers in public discussions, with a particular focus on their practices and interaction with journalism and other media actors.
