Research
At the end of 2019, I was offered the opportunity to take part in a project called Vocational Learning in Technical Secondary Vocational Education. There, we study the interaction between teachers and students in relation to different materials and tools related to learning objects in order to explore the learning process.
Within this project, several vocational subjects have been studied and my research focuses on the Handicrafts program. By collecting empirical data using video recordings of lessons, we have analysed this material using CAVTA (Conversation Analysis and Variation Theory Approach).
We do not interfere with ongoing lessons, but observe and then analyse what is occurring here and now, in order to make visible the learning process that takes place in the interaction between teacher and student.

Teaching
Since 2017 I have been employed at Karlstad University. During my first three years, I worked as a university lecturer and taught mainly on the Vocational Education Programme as well as our Complementary Education for Teachers and the Subject Teacher Programme.
Since October 2020, I have focused on my PhD position and teach in the vocational teacher program, mainly in vocational education and training with a focus on handicrafts.
Bio
I have an upper secondary school teacher training for grades 7-9 and upper secondary school specialising in Swedish. In addition, I have a Vocational teacher degree in handicrafts with a specialisation in skincare and spa and hair and makeup stylist. I taught as a vocational teacher and Swedish teacher for 6 years before I started working as a university lecturer at Karlstad University.
