Research
Materials technology research with a focus on additive manufacturing in metal. The working title of the thesis is "Additive manufacturing of tool steel: Properties and performance.". In the thesis, the production of both hot-worked steel and cold-worked steel manufactured by powder bed fusion with either electron beam or laser as melting source is studied. Microstructure and mechanical properties are studied both directly after manufacturing and after post-treatment, such as heat treatment and hot isostatic pressing (HIP).
