Research
My research primarily focuses on how we best manage residual products from the forest industry.
Energy-efficient purification of process wastewater from the forest industry. Oxygenation in biological purification processes.
Hydrocoal-enhanced biogas production. https://bioplusportalen.se/en/project/hydrochar-enhanced-biogas-production-hybio/
Soil amendments/fertilizers using biochar produced from forest industry sludge.

Biodegradable polymers produced from residual streams of the forest industry.

Teaching
I primarily teach environmental engineering.
Purification techniques for water, flue gases, and soil. Environmental chemistry. Bioeconomy and industrial symbiosis.
I also offer courses for our incoming exchange students.
Collaboration
Collaboration is very important to me. In order to solve issues at a higher system level, collaboration with industry, startups, authorities and other universities is absolutely necessary. There are always several actors involved in the projects that I run.
