My research is mainly conducted in our research areas: Models and Innovations for Safe Care and Management of Complex Ill-Health Conditions, but I also have research in Competence and Professional Development in Nursing. My research is about management of symptoms and symptom clusters in patients with cancer, palliative care at the end of life and models for nurse-led cancer care with a focus on the contact nurse in cancer care.
In the research programme Management of Symptom Clusters - from Theory to Practice, interdisciplinary projects are conducted with the aim of developing a model for preventing and treating symptoms in patients with cancer during and after treatment. The projects are designed as complex interventions. The project Symptom Clusters and Biological Markers in Patients with Lung Cancer (SyBiLuC) studies the relationship between subjectively experienced symptom clusters and various biological markers related to inflammatory and metabolic processes in a longitudinal study. A PhD student in nursing is linked to the project. https://www.kau.se/omvardnad/forskning/forskning-vid-omvardnad/pagaende-forskningsprojekt/relationen-mellan
