I am Professor in Environmental and Energy Systems at the Department of Chemical and Engineering Sciences, Karlstad University. I am also a research leader for NewDeP https://www.kau.se/Newdep.
My research is largely part of the Pro2BE field forest-based bioeconomy and focus on the drying and pelleting of bio-materials. My research has focused particularly on energy-efficient drying of various materials, primarily biofuels and clothes. I am also working on pelleting different biomaterials with a focus on energy efficiency and quality.
I am programme director of the master’s programme, Energy and Environmental Technology. Teaching mainly in the field of energy systems for example fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer. In recent years, much of my teaching has been about supervision of project work, thesis and dissertation. Ever since I started working at Karlstad University, I have enjoyed teaching and over the years I have taught in most courses in the discipline Environmental and Energy Systems.
Since 2015, I have been Head of Discipline for Environmental and Energy Systems.
Since 2014, I have been programme director of the master’s programme, Energy and Environmental Technology.
