Anna Pechurina
Research
Dr Anna Pechurina (PhD in Sociology, University of Manchester) is an Associate Professor in Sociology at the Department of Social and Psychological Studies at Karlstads University (KaU).
Dr Pechurina’s research expertise includes the study of identity, culture, material culture and homemaking, migration, mobility, and international higher education.
Anna's current projects are:
Sustainable Ageing of Migrant Populations in Sweden and Japan and their Transnational Families in the Framework of Digital Technologies; together with Satu Heikkinen, Tara Mehrabi (Karlstad University) and Ksenia Golovina (Toyo University) funded by Intsam through Vinnova, Sweden’s Innovation Agency
