Defended a dissertation on single activities in 2014. Has a broad interest in sociological issues concerning intimacy, sexuality, family, and relationships. Also interested in social science theory and media.
I am conducting research projects on transnational single men, suicide among men in rural areas, dance among the elderly, and transgender care in Värmland.
Bio
My undergraduate education is from Uppsala University, Université de Montréal, and the University of Gothenburg. I carried out my dissertation project in sociology at Karlstad University between the years 2008 and 2014, and my postdoctoral project between the years 2017-2018.
In the year 2016, I participated in the research project "Dance Late in Life," funded by RJ. Since 2018, I have been part of the project "Transnational Bachelors," which is financed by VR.
