Research
My research focus is e-health, and my research project is concerned with exploring the implementation and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare. AI can be used to automate, supplement, or collaborate in the execution of various tasks and processes, and is expected to have an impact on the provision of healthcare, workflows, and patient health. Currently focusing on Oncology, my research includes looking into the adoption and use of AI, the barriers and facilitators, and possible solutions that can inform strategies for its adoption. It is important also to understand how AI differs from traditional health information systems and the implications of those differences in adoption and practice.
Previous work has included research on multidiciplinary team meeting records in cancer care, public wellbeing during Covid19, and distributed participatory design.
