In the morning of Friday 12 December, the Vice-Chancellor invites everyone to the traditional Lucia celebration in Aula Magna with choral singing and a reading of the poem “Tomten”.
The choirs Söt Likör and Sällskapet CMB, conducted by Mats Backlund, will be singing traditional Lucia songs, and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Patrik Larsson and Student Union Chair Tuva Sandberg will together read Viktor Rydberg’s classic poem “Tomten”.
The event starts at 07.30 and the doors of Aula Magna open at 07.00. It is a good idea to arrive early, as the Lucia celebration usually attracts a large audience.
The programme in Aula Magna lasts about half an hour.
