Seminar Sep 23: Information Systems research at Dalarna University

Professor William Wei Song from Dalarna University on the research at his department in Information Systems including his own on trust computing.

"We are also involved in a local "big data" project - called smart city Yudu - a three layer framework: 1) business model for describing an overall situation of the city (main sources are from transport data management, weather data management, and government statistic data management), 2) data analysis (vertical versus horizontal survey), and 3) visualized presentation (dynamically showing the problematic spots, such as flood causing traffic problem).
I see this framework lacks an important layer - service (what services to provide to the problems and how)."

In addition, Prof. Zhang fromZhejiang Wanli University, presently visiting Dalarna Universioty, will make a shorter presentation around "trust computing" circa 15:00-15:30.
