Cooperation agreement between the University and Saab signed
2026-08-25On Tuesday, Vice-Chancellor Jerker Moodysson and President and CEO Görgen Johansson signed a cooperation agreement between Karlstad University and Saab Dynamics AB.
The purpose of the agreement is to strengthen the strategic partnership in education, research and innovation over the long term. The collaboration will contribute to the generation of knowledge, the assurance of expertise and quality, and the development of solutions that benefit Saab, the University, and ultimately the region and society as a whole.
– I am delighted that we are able to deepen our collaboration. I believe there is much we can gain from working together in the context of today’s increasingly uncertain world. Our mission is to help keep people and society safe. That is a long-term undertaking, says Görgen Johansson, President and CEO of Saab Dynamics AB.
– Our processes are also long term in nature. We are pleased to establish this collaboration with an employer of great importance to both the region and the country. We conduct research and provide education in areas of vital importance to society, working closely with the wider community and constantly striving to remain relevant, not least in terms of skills provision and workforce development. I also see this as an exciting partnership in the field of innovation, says Jerker Moodysson, Vice-Chancellor of Karlstad University.
During the ceremony, a scholarship partnership agreement was also signed, aimed at supporting international students at Karlstad University.
