Reserve and renew
You can reserve books and other library materials that have been borrowed via the library catalogue. If the book is on the shelf it cannot be reserved.
How to reserve a book:
- Find the book you want to reserve in the library catalogue. If all copies have been borrowed, click on “Place hold”.
Available books can not be reserved. - Log in using your Kau ID, or for external users, Swedish personal number (with T-number: YYMMDDTXXX), and PIN.
Collecting reserved books
When a reserved book is returned and it is your turn to borrow it, an email message is sent out. You have three days to collect the book.
Reserved books are placed on the shelf next to the issue desk and are sorted according to the users’ initials. Take the book from the shelf and borrow it using the self-issue machine in the room.
Renewals
Renewals of your items is not necessary. The system will automatically renew your books as long as no one else has reserved them, up to 15 times. If the item can not be renewed, you will be notified by e-mail. When the maximum number of re-loans has been made, the book must be returned to the library. Log in to My loans to see how many loans have been made.
