REPERTOIRE AND DETAILS FOR VOICE – MASTER

SUBMISSION OF VIDEOS

You are asked to record and upload 6 videos according to the following specific repertoire requirements for voice:

• Video 1. Obligatory pieces: Franz Schubert from Winterreise: No. 2 “Die Wetterfahne” and No. 11 “Frühlingstraum”, in any chosen key.
• Video 2. Obligatory contemporary piece: You may choose a piece composed after 1950.
• Video 3. Obligatory Baroque piece: You may choose a piece composed during the Baroque period (approximately 1600–1750).
• Videos 4, 5, 6: The remaining three pieces in the repertoire should include songs from different musical periods and in different languages.
• All repertoire must be performed from memory.
• The music must be performed together with an accompanist supplied by the applicant.

SHORT FILM ABOUT YOUR INTENDED ARTISTIC/ INDEPENDENT WORK

The Master's program includes a written independent artistic work where you research a topic of your own choosing. Record a separate presentation film of about 3 minutes in which you present yourself and your ambitions studying a master’s program. Please also briefly describe what you would like to focus on in your future independent work during. Name this file with your name and the word "presentation" and upload it together with the other videos.

Videos are uploaded through file upload. Instructions regarding how to submit your videos will be sent in a separate email after admission has closed to the email address you have entered on UniversityAdmissions.se.

INTERVIEW VIA ZOOM

You may also be called to a supplementary personal interview via Zoom after the work samples have been reviewed.

INSTRUCTIONS AND CRITERIA FOR VIDEOS

In order for the video recordings to be approved as a basis for assessment, you should follow the instructions below.

• For the videos to be considered valid, your face and hands must be clearly visible at all times. Preferably record from the front, seeing the whole body.
• In connection with uploading films, you also need to upload a photo on an official ID card, driver's license or passport which we will compare with your face on the film. This means you don't have to identify yourself on the recorded videos.
• The recordings of each piece must be done in unbroken footage, no cuts or other technical editing is allowed.
• The sound must be of good quality and you as an applicant must be heard clearly at all times. The recording can be done with the microphone in your phone or with a room microphone without too much room acoustics.
• The films must have good image quality with good sharpness and light.
• The recordings must be uploaded in the following file formats: MP4 or MOV.
• Make sure not to send in too long films, but only what you want to show the jury.
• If the instructions are not followed and the video files are found to have been modified in any way, your submitted work samples may be deemed invalid.
