The History Research Seminar in Karlstad

The History research seminar is the main forum for historical discussion at the Department of History at Karlstad University. Researchers and PhD students at the department present their research, and we also invite guests from other universities, nationally and internationally. Seminars are held in Swedish or English. Most are open events, welcoming staff and Master students as well as local historians and professionals outside academia. From 2018, we are happy to be able to invite colleagues and master students to the History seminar at our partner department at Linköping University. From 2019, historians and PhD students from other Swedish universities are welcome to participate online in all the seminars in Karlstad.
