Teacher training

History offers a number of courses from 1–120 ECTS credits as part of the Upper-Secondary Education programme with specialisation in History, or with History as a second subject. All these courses focus on subject-specific education and some include practical placements. For more information on these courses, see the different programme study plans for teacher training. History is also taken as part of the Primary Education programme, as part of social studies for preschool–year 3, or years 4–6.

History also offers one of the courses that form part of the Secondary Education Bridging programme, namely Assessment, Grading and Practical Placement: Vocational Education, 15 ECTS credits. The course is offered as a halftime, distance education course, but includes various campus meetings in Karlstad.
