Geography
Geography combines natural science, social science, and the humanities, and constitutes a bridge between these domains.
Geography combines natural science and social science, and therefore provides an important bridge between these areas of knowledge. The primary focus of the subject is to create a comprehensive picture of humankind’s dependence on and interaction with the conditions of nature. Sustainable development is a natural perspective for geography. Another essential part is spatiality, that is attention to a place where something exists or happens and which can be marked as a location on a map. Practical field study is a large part of many course modules. It is possible to take 120 credits of Geography at Karlstad University.
