Samfonden - The Karlstad Teachers’ Training College Memorial Fund
Six scholarships of SEK 5.000 each are awarded to students within the teacher training programmes and child and youth education programmes.
The scholarship is primarily a travel grant to students conducting a project, e.g. degree project, abroad. The scholarship is only available to students at Karlstad University between 1 - 31 March.
Examples of purposes that may qualify for a scholarship:
- Contribution to cover costs for studies abroad, for example, placement or project work.
- Contribution to cover costs for studies abroad within the specified subject area.
The application should be individual and relate to a specific project.
The application should include:
- Cover letter
- CV / Resume
- Official Transcript of Records (Ladok)
- Certificate from teacher/supervisor at Karlstad University that the exchange will take place
- Certificate from contact person in the host country (if no certificate can be received from contact person or organisation in the host country, ask the teacher or supervisor at Karlstad University for certificate)
- Presentation of project plan
The application must be submitted to The Scholarship Committee no later than March 31.
Incomplete applications and applications submitted after deadline will not be processed. Documents included in the application should be submitted as attachments.

The application will be assessed based on the following criteria:
- Previous study results within the field related the scholarship
- Feasibility of the proposed project
The Scholarship Committee, including a student representative, decides whom will be awarded a scholarship.
