AI, Communications, and Social Transformation: Strategy and Critique
120 ECTS credits
Study programme
How is artificial intelligence reshaping the way we communicate, work, participate in society, and make decisions? How do digital platforms influence public debate, identity, trust, and opinion? What happens when communication is increasingly shaped by algorithms, datafication, and AI-generated content? And how can organisations use AI and digital technologies strategically while also taking responsibility for ethics, sustainability, transparency, and inclusion?
Digitalisation and artificial intelligence are transforming communication, organisations, media, and society at an unprecedented pace. They create new possibilities for innovation, participation, and knowledge exchange, but also raise urgent questions about inequality, disinformation, surveillance, trust, accessibility, and power.
The Master’s Programme in AI, Communications, and Social Transformation: Strategy and Critique gives you the knowledge and analytical tools to understand these transformations - to act within them. You will explore how AI, digital platforms, and communication strategies shape organisations and societies, while developing the ability to critically assess their consequences and strategic potential.
By combining critical perspectives with practical and strategic approaches, the programme prepares you to analyse complex digital environments, develop responsible communication strategies, and contribute to sustainable digital transformation. It is particularly relevant for students interested in careers such as digital strategist, communication strategist, content strategist, social media manager, analyst, project manager in digital development, consultant in digital transformation, or researcher.
