Dual careers for athletes at Karlstad Elite Sports University
Combine sports on elite level with study at Karlstad University
Since January 2011, Karlstad University has been offering opportunities for elite sports students to receive special study support.
To be eligible for admission to Karlstad Elite Sports University (Swedish Sports Confederation agreement since 2015, Elite Sports-Friendly University - EVL) you must be aprospective or currently active national team athlete or play in a team ball sport in the highest division. Assessments are made by the special sports federation in question. You must also be admitted to a study programme or course at Karlstad University.
When applying to an Elite Sports-Friendly University (EVL), you use a special application form, which can be found under Links. Fill in the form and send it to your special sports federation (SF). When you have received a signed certificate from your SF, submit the certificate to the university.
