Feminist Perspectives on Politics
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course introduces different feminist science critique perspectives and key concepts of feminist political theory, including the significance of ethnicity, class, and sexuality for feminist analysis. On the basis of these perspectives, the course treats feminist critique of central concepts of political science such as democracy, power, citizenship, and politics, as well as the consequences for thinking about and studying politics. There is a special focus on feminist analyses of public policy and administration as well as international relations as two examples of political science subject areas. The course concludes with a theory and methods component in which students examine and review a dissertation from Political Science.
