Master thesis in social work
30 ECTS credits
Students write a master's thesis and develop their abilities to use theories and methods in social work when analysing a chosen problem. Instruction is in the form of supervision and seminars. The thesis is discussed in a seminar where students defend their own thesis and serve as a peer reviewer of a fellow-student's thesis. Supervision is only provided for the course duration. Reregistered students are offered additional supervision if circumstances permit.

Education level: Master's level
Admission requirements: Bachelor's degree in social care or social work (180 ECTS cr) plus 30 ECTS cr at Master level in social work/social care studies, including including social science methodology 15 ECTS cr, or equivalent. Upper secondary level Swedish 3 or B/Swedish as a second language 3 or B and English 6 or B, or equivalent
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
