Developing multilingual students' knowledge and language skills
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course centres on multilingualism in school and aims to promote students' understanding of how learning a second language takes place and interacts with language development and school achievement. The importance of language interaction to second language learning and various forms of language and knowledge development are treated. Formative assessment as a support to the second language learner is emphasised. The student's language and literacy development in all subjects are treated and children's different roads into second language texts are also treated.
