15.0 ECTS creditsInstruction is provided via web-based platform and in connection with a concluding seminar on campus in Karlstad. Students are offered individual supervision by PhD staff.
The course comprises the following components:
- outline of methodological issues related to degree projects
- library information and database literature as a method
- project planning and related methodological issues
- writing a thesis
- defending a thesis and serving as a peer reviewer
- ethical reflections and assessing research questions and research and development.

Admission requirements
Enrolment in the Risk Management Programme, 120 ECTS cr (SARHS) with completed required programme course of 30 ECTS cr including at least 7.5 ECTS cr for master level methods course, or equivalent.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
