Degree project: Prehospital Emergency Care
15.0 ECTS creditsInstruction is in the form of literature study, supervision, and seminars. Supervision is provided individually, in pairs, or in a group and may be web-based or offered in connection with on-campus meetings. Supervision is always provided individually in the final phase.
The degree project is a research study with clear relevance to nursing in prehospital emergency care and is carried out as a systematic literature study or as an empirical study.
Students draw up a project plan on the basis of their chosen research area and information searches in databases. The project plan includes a description of a chosen research method and ethical considerations. The degree project is carried out as a written work structured on the research process. This course is offered at 100% pace.
If the time limit (15 workdays) for required revisions is not observed, a Fail (U) grade will be recorded.

Admission to a Specialist Nursing Programme, or Specialist Nursing Degree 60 ECTS credits (including a degree project of at least 15 ECTS credits) corresponding to a Bachelor Degree in Nursing, and Research Methods (7.5 ECTS credits) at Master level, plus upper secondary level Swedish 3 or Swedish as a second language 3 and English 6, or equivalent
