Instrument and Ensemble 4
15.0 ECTS creditsThe course comprises three modules.
Module 1
This module includes performance on the chosen second instrument or instrument group within a selected genre, through individual instrumental lessons and ensemble playing. The focus lies primarily on developing instrumental or vocal skills, musical interpretation and communication, and building strategies for musical preparation and rehearsal.
Module 2
This module focuses on the piano as a chordal instrument. Students practice reducing written scores into simplified piano accompaniments in order to accompany and lead instrumental and/or vocal students. Methodological materials for the relevant instrument or voice form the basis of instruction. The module also includes choral repertoire knowledge, tone blending, intonation, musical communication in choir singing, and exercises in conducting technique.
Module 3
This module includes practical ear training in groups, along with practical and theoretical elements related to various musical styles.

Music and Music Teaching 4, 7.5 ECTS credits, and Instrument and Ensemble 2, 7.5 ECTS credits, plus registered for Music and Music Teaching 5, 7.5 ECTS credits, and Instrument and Ensemble 3, 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
