7.5 ECTS creditsThe course includes instrumental or vocal skills training and musical interpretation on the main instrument through instrumental lessons and ensemble playing. The course also offers broader musical approaches in the form of improvisation, playing by ear, and performing music from notation. In this course, students study one of these approaches as a complement—both to the genre of their main instrument and to the approach studied in a previous course.
Broadening of musical approaches for students with a main instrument in:
- folk music involves improvisation and performing music from notation.
- jazz involves playing by ear and performing music from notation.
- classical music involves improvisation and playing by ear.
