Instrument and Ensemble 1
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course comprises three modules. The course content prepares students for placement (VFU) within the field.
Module 1
This module includes performance on the chosen second instrument within a selected genre, carried out through individual instrumental lessons.
Module 2
This module includes instrumental methodology for the chosen second instrument in the selected genre, including supervised teaching practice in the form of classroom observation.
Module 3
This module includes training where students, grouped according to skill level, practice notating and reproducing rhythms, melodies, and chords. In the area of instrumentation, students are introduced to the basic principles of writing for the most common instrument families and acquire knowledge of their characteristics.

Admission requirements
Music and Music Teaching 1, 22.5 ECTS credits, and School as system and idea - Music teachers, 7.5 ECTS credits, plus registered for Music and Music Teaching 2, 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
