Classroom Music Teaching 1
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course comprises three modules and prepares students for practical placement in the area of music.
Module 1: Music pedagogy, 3.5 ECTS cr
- teaching methodological foundations of classroom music teaching,
- discussion of current curricula in the field of music education,
- reports on and simple music-making and creative applications in classroom teaching
- orientation in the area of the context and functions of music and the tools of music
- simple applications of the elements pulse-rhytm-movement and instrumental play
- ICT instruction
- teaching practice in the form of observations
Module 2 Music theory 4 ECTS cr
Students practise notating and playing rhythms, tunes and chords and learn about instruments and the basic principles of instrumentation for the most common instrument groups.
