Teachers' professional leadership 1 - music teachers
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course covers the following:
- theories of professional teacher leadership in the classroom, with a focus on relational aspects in relation to students' commitment and motivation,
- theories of group dynamics and strategies for conflict prevention and conflict management from the perspective of professional teacher leadership,
- general educational perspectives on pedagogical leadership, as well as teachers' rights and responsibilities according to school policy documents,
- teachers' professional attitudes and approaches in teaching and communication related to students' identity, sexuality, and relationships,
- professional teacher leadership in relation to diversity in the classroom,
- challenges in communication and learning,
- professional ethical aspects of the teacher's role,
- collaboration with students, colleagues, guardians, and other relevant parties, such as various authorities,
- teachers' opportunities to create meaningful and stimulating teaching through the use of digital learning resources, and
- the application of professional leadership to create conditions for learning in the digital classroom.

Admission requirements:
Completed Teachers' pedagogical approach 2 - Music teachers, 7.5 ECTS credits, and at least 120 ECTS credits of subject studies in the Music Teacher Education Programme, or equivalent

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
