Classroom Music Teaching 7

The course centres on classroom teaching methodology related to

• grading and assessing in primary and secondary schools
• documentation
• the music teacher's roles and functions in school, for instance, as "cultural organiser" and mentorship
• insgtruction in the area of functional disabilities in music teaching
• supervised teaching practice at a chosen school level

The course also includes a stage project where students work individually and in groups with planning, arranging, rehearsing chosen material, targeting contacts, marketing and performing. The project is carried out together with young people in various forms and degrees depending on the nature of the project.

Progressive specialisation: A1F (has second‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)

Education level: Master's level

Admission requirements: MUAL01, MUAL02 and MUAL04.

Selection: Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
