Interpretation Year

Students study, interpret, and perform a stylistically and historically varied repertoire. The course covers performance practices, style, artistic methods and processes, artistic approaches and assessment, and technical and performance-related considerations for the repertoire in question. The musical performance of students and their role as musicians are discussed. The choice of repertoire is based on a broad musical and artistic field which includes various musical styles, but partly also on the profile of each student, which means that the repertoires of different students may vary. The course includes instrument instruction, ensemble, study with piano accompaniment or repertoire study and stage preparation, entrepreneurship, and concerts. Instruction is in the form of individual lessons, group lessons, seminars, and master classes.

Progressive specialisation: A1N (has only first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)

Education level: Master's level

Admission requirements: 90 ECTS credits in Music, including at least 30 ECTS credits at the G2F level or higher. As well as a passing grade for an entrance exam test.

Selection: Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
