Musical Performance and Interpretation: Degree Project
15.0 ECTS creditsThe artistic musical degree project has an emphasis on the student's chosen Major: instrument/vocal, ensemble leading, composition, rhythmics or other area. The planning of the degree concert is done by the student in conjunction with the instructor.
The main course components are:
Planning a concert
- repertoire studies in different areas
Concert concept
- How to choose, present and perform music in an interesting and involving way
Project management
- idea, performance, evaluation
- practicalities before and after a concert/project
- marketing
- planning sound and light based on artistic vision as well as consideration of the locality
- arranging for sound recording of a performance.
Instruction and supervision is primarily individual and in groups.
