The Aesthetics of Blasphemy. Challenging Textual Strategies from Genesis to the Satanic Verses
7.5 ECTS creditsThe aim of the course is that students develop their knowledge of the theory of genre and modes, with an emphasis on the blasphemic text as a counter text, further develop their competence in literary criticism and their skills in analysing and interpreting literature. The course deals with blasphemy as a textual mode through the study of literary texts from different epochs in relation to the texts or ideological systems that they challenge.
