Social science for teaching in pre-school and grades 1-3

The course deals with subject knowledge in the social studies subjects relevant to teaching in lower primary school and linked to curricula and supporting material and textbooks. Subject-specific teaching methodology is used as a basis for discussing the possibilities and problems of teaching social studies subjects. Content is divided into two blocks of geography and civics, on the one hand, and history and religion, on the other.

Progressive specialisation: G1F (has less than 60 credits in first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)

Education level: Undergraduate level

Admission requirements: Completed courses LPGG01 and LPGG02

Selection:

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
