Physical Education for Teachers in Lower Primary Education, 30 ECTS cr (Government CPD initative for teachers II)

The module introduces the area physical education and treats health and well being on the basis of curricula and current research. Body and bodiliness in pedagogical practice and theory are treated. Issues relate to health promotion, healthy life style, physical activity and sports practices of relevance to the subject physical education is discussed.
Module 2 Planning and conducting teaching in lower primary education, 7.5 ECTS cr
The develop their subject-specific pedagogical knowledge with a focus on outdoor and indoor physical sport and play activities related to the objectives of lower primary education are exercised. The focus is on the pedagogical skills in creating joy and engagement in physical activities with links to equality, democratic principles and participation. Basic CPR is included.
Module 3 Physiology of sport and exercise , 7.5 ECTS cr
The focus is on the physiological perspective of physical education. Basic anatomy, physiology and mobility are treated while the physiology of sport and exercise adapted school is described and analysed.
Module 4 Assessment 7.5 ECTS cr
Knowledge of assessment is studied. The concept of knowledge and knowledge forms specified as objectives in the curriculum is problematised. The subject physical education, its objectives, content, and methods are problematised and related to assessment.
