The practice of cultural policy

The course deals with cultural political systems with a focus on municipal and regional cultural policy, international cooperation and EU cultural policy as well as cultural field practices and their cultural policy governed activities. Central aspects such as the cultural political infrastructure and legitimacy as well as cultural policy and artistic quality and accessibility, participation and representativity are studied in terms of aspects of power, class, gender, ethnicity and variations in function. The course includes guest lectures give by practitioners in various cultural activities and study visits to different types of cultural institutions.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
