Surface Treatment and Printing of Paper Materials, Advanced Course I
7.5 ECTS creditsAdvanced course in surface treatment for paper with an emphasis on the interactions between materials, such as coating colours, their rheology and mass transfer in blade coating. Calendering of paper is described with mathematical models based on structural mechanics. Theories for the spreading and draining of liquids on and in porous materials for describing imbibition of colurs in printing are treated. .
