Drawing and Visualization Techniques I
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course includes theoretical and practical components, including various drawing techniques and methods, which aim to explore the importance of drawing and images for thoughts and ideas in design and technology as well as other expressive and artistic areas.
The course comprises the following components:
- outline of the content and forms of drawing,
- observation exercises through studies of objects and environments,
- studies of bodies and spaces through life drawing, and
- outline of the role of drawing in the context of art history and culture
The coursework includes:
- drawing assignments presented and discussed in groups,
- written assignments in which students reflect upon their own drawing in relation to theories presented in the course, and
- individual drawing assignments, including a series of pictures presented and discussed in a mandatory seminar.
