Accessibility of Digital Services and Digital Documents
7.5 ECTS creditsIntroductory lectures provide an overview of the concept "accessibility" and related concepts, as well as laws, ordinances, standards, and research literature. Later lectures are often followed by workshops in which students work with aspects of the course content, for instance assessment of accessibility in accordance with standards for apps and documents (HTML, pdf, and other common formats), either individually or in small groups. Some lectures cover areas that are not practiced in the course, such as writing for the web in accessible ways and selecting participants for user tests related to accessibility assessment.
