Sports Science: Introduction to a Multi- and Interdisciplinary Field
7.5 ECTS creditsThe aim of the course is to examine and integrate theory and knowledge and methodological issues related to the field of sport science. The course content includes issues in sport science as concepts connected to the area of sports and health.
The course covers the following:
- research designs in the field of sport science,
- the development of the history of ideas of sport science understood through recent national and international research,
- different applications of sports and health,
- sports-related areas of knowledge which are mainly based in other fields of research, and
- studies of sports and health-related areas to develop theoretical perspectives in other sciences.

Admission requirements:
90 ECTS credits completed, including at least 30 ECTS credits at the G2F level or higher in one of the following main areas of study: Sport Science, Public Health Sciences, Education, Psychology, or Sociology, or a degree in Education of at least 180 ECTS credits, and upper secondary level Swedish 3 or Swedish as a second language 3 and English 6 or B, or equivalent
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
