Methodological approaches in gender studies I

The course focuses on text analysis and interview techniques from a gender studies perspective. Students work with various text analysis methods and examine texts from different genres. Similarly, several interview techniques are introduced and students practise conducting and analysing interviews. Students practice assessing the suitability of different methods, and formulating relevant research questions.

Progressive specialisation: G1F (has less than 60 credits in first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)

Education level: Undergraduate level

Admission requirements: GVGJ13 Gender studies theory and method, 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent.

Selection: Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
