Transgender Studies and Activism7.5 ECTS credits
The course provides an introduction to the emerging field of transgender studies, its embeddedness in social justice activism, and its relation to the field of gender studies. Transgender studies is a complex field and the course treats feminist, queer, and trans perspectives on embodiment, the context of globalisation, and local forms of gender non-conformity outside the Western world, as well as key people who have contributed to the formation of this field.
Progressive specialisation: A1N (has only first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)
Education level: Master's level
Admission requirements: 90 ECTS credits completed in the Social Sciences, the Humanities, Education, or Health Science, plus upper secondary level English 6, or equivalent
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
