Transgender Studies and Activism
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course provides an introduction to the emerging field of transgender studies, its embeddedness in social justice activism, and its relation to the field of gender studies. Transgender studies is a complex field and the course treats feminist, queer, and trans perspectives on embodiment, the context of globalisation, and local forms of gender non-conformity outside the Western world, as well as key people who have contributed to the formation of this field.

90 ECTS credits completed in the Social Sciences, the Humanities, Education, or Health Science, plus upper secondary level English 6, or equivalent
