Symmetries: groups, algebras and tensor calculus7.5 ECTS credits
The aim of this course is that the students acquire basic as well as in depth knowledge of various mathematical structures which appear in the description of symmetries in physics, in particular in quantum mechanics and quantum field theory.
Progressive specialisation: A1N (has only first‐cycle course/s as entry requirements)
Education level: Master's level
Admission requirements: Mathematics and Physics 120 ECTS credits, including Mathematics 45 ECTS credits and Physics 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent. Upper secondary level English 6, or equivalent.
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
