Organisation, political governance and public health work
7.5 ECTS creditsThis course aims to provide an increased understanding of the connection between political governance, societal actors, and public health work. The course outlines the structure and function of public administration in Sweden at the national, regional, and local levels. It addresses how public health policy is designed and implemented at various levels to achieve long-term and sustainable public health goals. Furthermore, the principles of democracy and citizen participation in decision-making processes that affect public health are discussed. The course also aims to problematise resource allocation issues from a public health perspective and justify related decisions.
