15.0 ECTS creditsInstruction is in the form of lectures, PM seminars, individual supervision, independent and active coursework and a concluding dissertation seminar.
The course comprises the following components:
Students are required to continually reflect on their own work-in-progress in terms of process as well as content.
Students write a dissertation with a focus on a chosen specialisation area and problem.They are required to independently plan, carry out, document and defend an empirical study in a chosen area. Supervision is provided throughout the course period

Admission requirements:
Completed courses in Public Health Science 30 ECTS cr at Master's level, including Health Promotion 7.5 ECTS cr, Equality in Health 7.5 ECTS cr, Child Health in a Public Health Perspective 7.5 ECTS cr and a degree project in Public Health Science I, and courses in qualitative and quantitative research methods 15 ECTS cr at Master's level, or equivalent. Upper secondary level Swedish B or 3 /Swedish as a second language 3 and English 6 or B or equivalent.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
